Science as given men a real reason for passing out after sex. There have been studies done, but a more intensive study lately has discovered that after sex the parts of the male brain are designed to shut down. This will deactivate the rest of the brain from sexual desire. This study was done by scans of the brain during and after they have been engaged sexually. There is a refractory period after sex where they cannot be aroused again. The chemicals oxytocin and serotonin are released into the male’s brain after sex and induces sleep.  So when he finishes the act of love making he is instantly ready to go to sleep.

Women are pretty much the opposite of men, and do not have a long refractory period at all. They can be ready to go again minutes after and get angry when their partner is falling asleep. This can lead to lots of angry women staring at their snoring man’s form while they are wide awake. There is a disturbing number of men who have fallen asleep during sex which is not something science can explain. That is a real reason for ladies to be upset with their partners. If the man can’t even make it through a round of sex before he is snoring you should look for someone else.

So ladies the take away from this article is not to feel insulted when your man passes out right after sex.  You should know that he wanted to stay awake, he just couldn’t fight the urge to snooze. You shouldn’t worry that you aren’t good enough, or that this was the only thing he wanted from you. Science shows that he really can’t help it. His body is fighting to go to sleep and he has to listen to it.
